Rock Climbing Arkansas: Third Edition – Eastern Crags

Rock Climbing Arkansas is now a two-volume book: Western and Eastern Crags. The Eastern Crags edition is now available for pre-order with an expected release date of December 1st, 2025 (this date is subject to change). The Western Crags edition is already available on this site.

In the ten years since the publication of the second edition of Rock Climbing Arkansas, Arkansas sport climbing has exploded in total route count and burst onto the national scene. Climbing in Arkansas has long revolved around the venerable Horseshoe Canyon Ranch. In this third edition, which is now split into two volumes, over 500 routes at Horseshoe Canyon are covered, along with more than 2,500 other sport, trad, and mixed lines. Over 1,000 of these are new climbs, and many are located at entirely new crags.
